SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (WRGB) — U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand in Schenectady on Wednesday, taking a tour around the city before speaking exclusively with CBS 6 about the city’s revival.

“There’s been huge investments made over the last decade to really improve the downtown, to create more businesses, to create more restaurants, to create more housing, and there’s a couple new things that are happening like the aquatic center,” the senator said to CBS 6’s Briana Supardi.

“And it’ll be great for the wellbeing of residents. So, we’re very excited about that project. But I also got to see where the casino is and how that’s situated around a lot of the new apartment housing and it’s really making for a wonderful community,” Gillibrand said.
